Abstract
:
This study aimed to identify the impact of management transparency in promoting the behavior of organizational citizenship at King Abdul-Aziz University Hospital in Jeddah, as well as on the level of the hospital's commitment to transparency, the obstacles to adopting transparency in the hospital, and the most important ways to help promote the adopting of the principle of transparency at King Abdul-Aziz University Hospital. The analytical descriptive approach was used, and to achieve the objectives of the study, the data were collected using a designed questionnaire, and the study community was made up of 534 administrative staff at King Abdul Aziz University Hospital in Jeddah, where the study was applied to a simple random sample of 224 singles, paper questionnaire distributed to them. The number of the recovered and valid questionnaire for analysis was 208، The results of the study showed that the majority of the employees of the sample of the study agree on the level of commitment of King Abdul-Aziz University Hospital to apply transparency, and more than half of the sample of the study agreed that the resistance of officials to apply transparency because they believe that it threatens their Positions and special interests and the prevalence of a culture of secrecy and monopoly of information in the hospital was one of the most important obstacles limiting the application of transparency, as the results showed that the employees at King Abdul-Aziz University Hospital enjoyed a high citizenship behavior in all dimensions except the 'sportsmanship' has come at a relatively low level The results also showed that there is an impact of management transparency on the conduct of organizational citizenship at King Abdul-Aziz University Hospital in Jeddah. In light of the results, the study reached some recommendations, the most important of which are: raising the level of efficiency of the supervisory agencies by giving them sufficient powers and supporting them with cadres and human and material resources, Modernizing the systems and simplifying the procedures of work and removing the blur from them, Adopting employment and promotion policies on clear and declared standards, instilling the values of ethics of the profession and self-control to prevail over the public interest over the private interest.
