Abstract
:
This research aims to study issues pertaining to the attire of female dwarves in terms of functional and aesthetical. In order to design an occasion-wear that specifically tailored in a manner of their physical shape and conceal their physical defects. The current research applies the descriptive method to study the attire-related psychological factors influencing those female patients with Achondroplasia or dwarfishness. This study is intended to provide design-related proposals for occasion-wear that would be in harmony with female dwarves aged between (25-40) years. Method used in this study were composed of a questionnaire aimed to recognize the attire-related issues among female dwarves; in addition to another questionnaire for specialists and experts concerned with the proposed designs in order to get acquainted with their point of view. Besides, a questionnaire for female dwarves with the purpose of pinpointing their opinion and suggestion to the proposed occasion-wear designs. The research seeks to identify problems and difficulties facing female dwarves at wearing clothes. Accordingly, twelve designs were proposed for occasion design clothes for which opinions of both specialists and female dwarves were taken through questionnaires. The responses revealed an agreement between the two research samples about the proposed designs that can address the problems facing female dwarves in wearing occasion clothes. The agreement was in favor of the ninth design as it was found that it fulfills the functional and aesthetic aspects. Finally, the researcher has made recommendations more research in the field of clothing for dwarves male and females in order to meet all their clothing requirements.
