Abstract : Based on the great attention given to the poetic image represented in the multiplicity of its critical and rhetorical studies on the various stages of science, this study came into existence discusses the effect of poetic image on the poem. This investigating this study I belong to the field of criticism and the different sources of poetic image field of rhetoric. This study attempts to investigate the furthest extent to which the poetic image can affect artistic the poem. As for the approach of the study, I have adopted the analytical descriptive approach, which studies thoroughly the poems Hasan Alzahrani works and identifies the poetic images in order to shed light on the poetic image’s sources and reveal its aesthetic properties. It is assumed that this is the best approach that enables us to study the poetic image to reach the features of the poet's artistic experience. The poet under study is a contemporary poet who combines in his poetry between the originality of the old world and the splendor and creativity of the new world. He writes in a classic way but in a modern and innovative style in many places of his poetry. With such a way and style, he discusses the ideas of his time, the problems of his community, and the achievements of his homeland. Investigation the poet's works, it was found that there is a significant presence of places, historical, events, and works of different levels and different degrees of closeness and remoteness from the poet, which had a clear impact in the composition of the poetic image in his poems. This study answers two questions: What are the methods used by the poet to create the poetic image through his poems? How diverse are the uses which the poet drew on to reach the reader's soul? The study endeavors to shed light on the methods of forming the poetic image in the poem and the factors that contributed to its formation through different rhetorical devices such as simile, metaphor, etc.
