One of the most important factors, which establish these relations and develop them is the establishment of embassies in both countries, which have facilitated communication between the two governments. Furthermore, there are other crucial factors such as religion, language, Arab-Islamic culture, shared geographical proximity and the existence of the Islamic holy sites in Saudi Arabia. Politically, the Kingdom initiated recognition of the independence of Sudan and the embassies of the two countries have played a major role in the coordination between the two countries. Also, the Kingdom has played an important role in the affiliation of Sudan to the Arab League and the United Nations. On the other hand, Sudan has contributed to solving the problem of Yemen and such act has had a significant impact in strengthening the political relations and creating exchanging visits between the leaders of both countries. The ambassadors of both countries have played an important role in the advancement of relations between the two countries. The Kingdom stood by the Sudanese Islamist Opposition against the communist government, which sought to strip the Sudan from the Islamic identity. Accordingly, Sudan endorsed the Saudi peace initiative in the Middle East in 1401 A.H. /1981A.D. The stability of the political relations of the two countries has been the most important factor in strengthening and developing the economic relations between both states. As a result, cooperation in the fields of agriculture, communication and transportation has emerged. Thus, Saudi Arabia has financed development projects in Sudan. Moreover, several cooperation agreements between the two countries have been held in the economic field. The most important loan agreements from the Saudi Fund was issued for the development in Sudan. Also, the Saudi Organization for the Exploitation of the Red Sea wealth has been established In the area of cultural relations, Hajj and Islamic Call have had prominent role for cooperation between the two countries in the religious field. Furthermore, there has been an exchange of experiences in the field of teaching in universities and as a result, scholarships have been offered. In the field of media and communication, there has been cooperation between both countries and the Sudanese media experts have participated in the Saudi media institutions and universities. This has contributed in strengthening and developing the cultural relations between the two countries. In the field of arts, Sudanese academics, specializing in Fine Arts, have participated in teaching at the Kingdom's universities in the field of security and military, there has been cooperation in the exchange of information, experiences and training courses. The Kingdom has supported the Sudanese army with a number of weapons in addition to the interest in the security of the Red Sea, for example. In the field of heath, the Kingdom has provided financial loan assistance and contributions for the development of the health sector in Sudan and in return Sudan has facilitated Sudanese medical staff to come and work in the health sector in the Kingdom. In the field of relief, the Kingdom contributed a significant role in averting the disasters in Sudan in different periods. In the field of sport, cooperation between the two countries has emerged in the aspects of refereeing, training and participation of clubs in the two countries. This was vivid in the friendly matches. Also, many clubs in the Kingdom recruited a number of Sudanese players and athletes who have had an important role in the development of sport in the Kingdom. The most important findings of the researcher show that since the Sudan's independence in 1375 A.H./1956A.D, the Saudi-Sudanese relations have been built on the foundations and religious perspectives as well as the Arabian and good neighborliness.
