Abstract
:
The study deals with the natural factors affecting on drought of the springs in Wadi Fatimah Basin slope of the mountain ledge on the west side and flows into the Red Sea at the ALkhumrah , and it spreads in the bottom of the course and its tributaries, silt, sand and gravel, which facilitated the amount of water leaking into the aquifer, and then appear on the shape of the spring affected by surface topography and geology and hydrology. Among the most important findings of the study, is the existence of the types of springs as the springs of seek convergence and cracks are concentrated in the middle and lower section of the study area . As it turns, the affected of feeding the aquifer amount of rainfall and volatility, then the flow pour effluent from the spring or dry's . Geological structure is also affected by fault and dikes on the movement of water and the direction of its neighbors . The estimated volume of water withdrawn from the springs of about 14 million m3 / day, and this is not commensurate with the annual recharge rate. The withdrawal of excessive pumping and drilling of wells at randomly and in abundance in the study area has a role in drying springs and burying with sand and rocky depending on the movement of the wind conditions on the North – Western area of the study area activity.
