Abstract
:
The aim of this study important to stand ready to Saudi hospitals to provide medical services and electronic investigation of the possibility of the use of e-business in the health services system in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to obtain accurate information on the status of information technology and the readiness of hospitals to e-business. Were obtained at 35 survey form to obtain this information in both Jeddah and Riyadh. The results showed that the infrastructure of information technology in hospitals and high-level use. The study also showed that medical information linked to the patient within the hospital are the most important tasks that use their computer in the hospital. The study also showed that two-thirds of respondents are using e-business between hospitals, customers and suppliers as well as the study reported that almost all respondents using the exchange of information between departments within the hospital and that almost half of the sample sought medical equipment and medicines from the supplier automatically. And that the reasons for not adopting the use of e-business due to: lack of technical support and the lack of adequate funding and the lack of legal and regulatory framework for trade and e-business and a lack of expertise of qualified staff.
