The winery station for sewage treatment of the largest treatment plants in Jeddah. Was poured its waters into the lake of treatment half semi-closed in the South Corniche, which was to prevent the spread of part of what it carries pollutants into the coastal zone. Nearly two years was transferred to the mouth of the drainage area of the open sea on the edge of the Barrier Reef on the depth 5 This research was conducted to study the changes in the coastal region since the transfer of the director, through the study of the distribution and prevalence of certain environmental variables such as nutrients and heavy element and some of the organic pollutants and compare the results of previous studies. The results showed a marked increase in the concentration of heavy elements, as well as the spread of persistent organic pollutants over the study area. It also supported the analysis of water and this result indicated a link downstream impact of this change, the new. This has been shown a clear deterioration of the health of the Shura plant that grows in the region of about 6 km south of the mouth. It warns of the consequences of continuing in a stream of sewage treatment is incomplete in the coastal area where there are reef environments herbs and plants are sensitive to the Shura's for a variety of contaminants, and that despite the high coefficient Mitigation in the new area but the waste will be deployed in large areas of exposed these fragile environments and vitality of the risk as they cause a threat to human health and to the continued practice of fishing in the region.
